    Charles G. Hill has been a Reference Librarian, Genealogy Collection, Indiana State Library since January, 1981. He have an M.L.S. from Indiana University in 1976.  It is his intention to discuss why and how to get started in Native American research, and types and kind of information available at the Indiana State Library, Indiana Historical Bureau and other venues such as the National Archives, Family History Library, and Allen County Library.

    Using Y-DNA to Enhance Genealogical Research

    The presentation will explore how Y-DNA testing can further enhance traditional methods of family research, complimenting the established guidelines for constructing a well documented family pedigree. A basic layman's introduction to the benefits and limitations of Y-DNA testing will be given along with a detailed case study demonstrating the usage of Y-DNA to overcome genealogical brick walls.
