Vigo County Cemeteries Vol III

This book deals with the Central Section of Vigo County, Indiana, just south of Terre Haute, across the county ... East and West. The first two volumes dealt with the Northeast section of the county and the Southern section. The fourth volume will be of the Northwest section.

We have tried to copy items, dates, and names as they appear on the stones; misspellings included. It may be true there are any number of persons buried in these cemeteries that we have not listed due to the erosion of stones, broken stones, and those where stones were never placed. The last copying of these cemeteries took place some fifty years ago, thus if we have missed a few names, please bear with us and realize they are missing.

There are two cemeteries we have not copied in Riley Township due to the fact they have their own records, but later on we may come up with a supplemental book with theses omitted cemeteries. At least try for an index of them. All are large cemeteries.

The compilers want to thank you for your patience in waiting for the last two volumes as we had hoped to have them ready the first of this year, but due to Mr. Eddy’s illness and the death of my husband, our copying and typing fell somewhat behind.
