Monday, August 8, 2011

6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Vigo County Public Library - Rooms A, B & C

Note: Bring your digital camera with you for special assistance.

Using tools, such as digital cameras and scanners, now makes it possible to easily capture, restore,  preserve and store images and documents in a digital format.  In this upcoming WVGS workshop, Barbara Foltz and Brandy Bonomo will share their years of photographic experience and help workshop participants develop and enhance their skills in using scanners and digital cameras.

During the workshop participants will learn:

· When to use a scanner or a camera depending upon the type of copying task.

· How to adjust scanner and camera settings to get the best results possible.

· Various techniques to use in enhancing photos and documents after copying.

The use of various types of scanners and cameras will be demonstrated.  Participants are encouraged to bring their digital camera for personal instruction on how to set-up for optimum results.

Barbara Foltz has been a Professional Photographer for over forty years having operated her own studio and in collaboration with other photographers.  At an early age, Barbara’s granddaughter, Brandy Bonomo showed an interest in photography as well.  Sandy now operates her own professional studio.
