The WVGS is made up of 10 counties, 7 in Indiana and 3 in Illinois. The “Research Techniques" program will highlight the research tips, resources and genealogical holdings of these three distinct counties - Parke, Sullivan and Clark.   The four knowledgeable presenters will provide helpful guidance in researching your ancestors in these counties.

Lynn Lee is a native of Parke County.  She is a graduate of Rockville High School and of Indiana State University with a BS in History.  Lynn has been with the Rockville Public Library for 36 years. A few of her responsibilities are the maintenance and expansion of the local history/genealogy holdings, library liaison to Wabash Valley Vision and Voices and one of Parke County's Co-Historian.

Donna K. Adams is the County Historian & Genealogist for Sullivan County. She is the Head of the Genealogy/Local History Dept. at Sullivan County Public Library in Sullivan, Indiana and has created many searchable databases for patron access. She also has been involved with Wabash Valley Visions and Voices since its beginning.  Donna currently serves on the Sullivan County Cemetery Commission and a board member of the Sullivan County Historical Society. She is also a charter member of the Wabash Valley Genealogy Society and a member of the Indiana Genealogical Society, Illinois Genealogical Society, National Genealogical Society, DAR, Society of Civil War Families of Indiana and Indiana Historical Society.

Edie Breneman has been at Marshall Public Library since 2011. She has been researching family history for nearly 40 years. Edie is also active with the Clark County Historical Society, Friends of Marshall Public Library, and the Gaslight Art Colony.    

Jamie Poorman has been at Marshall Public Library since 2008 and has been Head Librarian since 2014. She has been researching family history since 1999, with deep family roots in Clark County. Jamie is active in Cub Scout Pack 81, Marshall Area Youth Network (MAYN), and the Clark County Historical Society.
